FP1 Moto2 Catalunya: Luthi dominan, Dimas 25 besar
Thomas Luthi mengungguli Alex Marquez pada Free Practice 1 Moto2 Catalunya, dengan Dimas Ekky akhirnya berhasil posisi ke-25.

Pembalap Dynavolt Intact GP itu mendominasi jalannya sesi latihan bebas pertama di Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Jumat (14/6). Mencetak catatan waktu 1 menit 44,673 detik, Luthi pun berhak atas status tercepat.
Marquez harus puas posisi kedua. Namun ia di depan duo kompatriot: Jorge Navarro dan Augusto Fernandez. Sedangkan urutan kelima ditempati rookie Enea Bastianini.
Posisi keenam diklaim Xavi Vierge, diikuti Nicolo Bulega yang mengamankan urutan ketujuh pada menit-menit akhir. Di belakangnya ada Remy Gardner serta Brad Binder pada tempat kesembilan.
Pemuncak klasemen sementara, Lorenzo Baldassarri, melengkapi 10 besar. Ia sekaligus mengungguli Marcel Schrotter. Sementara pembalap pengganti Khairul Idham Pawi, Jonas Folger, posisi ke-19.
Awal yang baik dipetik Dimas. Untuk kali pertama, Red Forehead menembus 25 besar dalam sesi latihan. Adapun, catatan waktu terbaiknya 1 menit 46,473 detik
Sejumlah insiden kecelakaan terjadi saat FP2, di antaranya meliputi Philipp Oettl, Sam Lowes dan Schrotter. Oettl bahkan dibawa ke Medical Centre untuk pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
