FP1 Moto2 Belanda: Lowes tercepat, Dimas Ekky kecelakaan
Sam Lowes menguasai Free Practice 1 Moto2 Belanda. Dimas Ekky mengalami kecelakaan besar yang membuat sesi sempat dihentikan.

Sesi baru berjalan beberapa menit, tetapi Red Flag sudah dikibaskan Marshal, menyusul insiden kecelakaan Dimas di Tikungan 9. Pembalap Indonesia itu mendapat perawatan medis di pinggir trek, sebelum kemudian dibawa dengan mobil ambulans menuju Medical Centre.
Belakangan diketahui, dari tayangan ulang, kecelakaan Dimas rupanya dipicu oleh insiden yang melibatkan Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward Racing). Bahkan saat berita ini ditulis, FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel sedang melakukan investigasi.
Adapun, FP2 lalu dilanjutkan lagi setelah terhenti selama 20 menit dan Lowes berhasil memuncaki sesi dengan catatan waktu terkencang 1 menit 38,151 detik. Sedangkan urutan kedua ditempati Lorenzo Baldassarri, diikuti performa impresif Jonas Folger pada posisi ketiga.
Remy Gardner tak ketinggalan tampil apik, yang mana pembalap SAG Team itu menduduki tempat keempat. Ia mengungguli pemuncak klasemen sementara, Alex Marquez, serta Thomas Luthi – harus puas urutan keenam.
Posisi ketujuh diklaim Jorge Navarro, di depan Brad Binder dan rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio. Kemudian melengkapi 10 besar adalah Marcel Schrotter yang memaksa Luca Marini urutan ke-11.
