Hasil FP3 Moto2 Portugal: Gardner Sukses Asapi Roberts
Pembalap Red Bull KTM Ajo, Remy Gardner, keluar sebagai tercepat dalam latihan bebas tiga (FP3) Moto2 Portugal, Sabtu (17/4/2021), tetapi Joe Roberts terus memberi tekanan sepanjang sesi.

Kondisi Sirkuit Algarve yang makin baik membuat Remy Gardner kian percaya diri menggeber motornya. Rider Australia itu berhasil menjadi yang tercepat pada FP3 dengan waktu lap terbaiknya 1 menit 42,643 detik.
Namun, pembalap Italtrans, Joe Roberts, terus memberi tekanan. Ia tercepat kedua dengan jarak 0,229 detik dari Gardner. Di urutan ketiga, Sam Lowes mengikuti usai mencatatkan lap terbaiknya di pengujung sesi dengan 1 menit 42,939 detik.
Rookie Red Bull KTM Ajo, Raul Fernandez, juga berhasil menembus posisi lima besar yang membuatnya langsung lolos ke kualifikasi dua (Q2).
Andalan Sky Racing Team VR46, Marco Bezzecchi, menempati urutan keenam dan akan memperjuangkan posisi start terbaik di kualifikasi. Pasalnya, pembalap asal Italia itu memasang target podium di Moto2 Portugal setelah gagal mendapatkannya di Qatar.
Fabio Di Giannantonio yang tampil impresif pada dua balapan di Sirkuit Internasional Losail, Qatar, berhasil menembus Q2. Pembalap Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 itu menempati urutan ke-14, yang merupakan posisi terakhir untuk lolos ke Q2.
Dua pembalap Pertamina Mandalika SAG, Tom Luthi (20) dan Bo Bendsneyder (28), harus berjuang keras untuk bisa mendapatkan grid terbaik di GP Portugal. Pasalnya, Sirkuit Algarve akan menyulitkan mereka untuk menyalip jika start dari belakang.
