British Talent Team mundur dari Moto3 2018
British Talent Team tidak akan ambil bagian pada kejuaraan dunia Moto3 musim 2018. John McPhee bahkan akan hijrah ke CIP KTM tahun depan.
McPhee berstatus pembalap British Talent Team sejak awal musim. Mengawali 2017 dengan hasil kuat, dua kali naik podium pada seri Qatar dan Argentina.
Namun, pembalap muda Skotlandia itu kesulitan mempertahankan performanya. Ia kemudian hanya satu kali podium di Assen dan turun pada peringkat ketujuh klasemen jelang satu balapan tersisa.
Bos British Talent Team telah memutuskan absen setahun dari Moto3 musim depan. Sebaliknya, tim menurunkan dua motor pada ajang FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship untuk Tom Booth-Amos dan Charlie Nesbitt.
Adapun, tim menargetkan kembali ke Moto3 pada 2019, ketika British Talent Cup dimulai musim depan, dan yang mana para alumni dapat melanjutkan kiprah di kejuaraan dunia.
Dengan absennya British Talent Team, maka McPhee akan pindah ke CIP. Ia akan mendampingi pembalap Kazakhstan, Makar Yurchenko.
