Moto3 Argentina: Binder pole position, Navarro start ketiga
Brad Binder berhasil merebut pole position Grand Prix yang pertama setelah menjadi pembalap tercepat dalam sesi kualifikasi Moto3 di Sirkuit Termas de Rio Hondo, Argentina, Sabtu (2/4).

Binder mencetak catatan waktu 1 menit 50,217 detik pada stint pertamanya. Catatan waktunya bertahan hingga rookie Malaysia, Khairul Idham Pawi, menempati posisi teratas dengan lebih cepat 0,011 detik.
Namun, posisi itu tak lama ditempati Pawi. Binder langsung merespons dengan catatan waktu 1 menit 49,767 detik untuk merebut pole position yang pertama sepanjang kariernya di Grand Prix.
Fenati tampil sebagai rival terdekat Binder. Tapi pembalap SKY Racing VR46 Team itu lebih lambat 0,324 detik. Posisi start ketiga ditempati Jorge Navarro.
Pawi akan start dari posisi keempat. Akan tetapi, ia dikenai penalti karena perilaku tak suportif dalam sesi latihan. Pawi pun turun di posisi ketujuh, di belakang Niccolo Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46), Joan Mir (Leopard KTM) dan Enea Bastianini (Honda).
Pemenang Moto3 Qatar, Niccolo Antonelli (Ongetta Honda) dan Fabio Quartararo (Leopard KTM) melengkapi baris ketiga. Sedangkan, Livio Loi [RW Honda] mausk 10 besar.
Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia Honda) akan start dari posisi ke-14. Ia mengalami kecelakaan di Tikungan 5. Adapun, Francesco Bagnaia (Aspar Mahindra) meraih hasil kurang memuaskan karena akan start dari posisi ke-25.
