Moto3 Catalunya: Rodrigo amankan pole, Ogura impresif
Gabriel Rodrigo menjadi pembalap berbeda ketujuh yang pole position musim ini pada kualifikasi Moto3 Catalunya. Rookie Ai Aogura berhasil start kedua.

Sesi masih menyisakan waktu 10 menit, namun status polesitter telah diamankan Rodrigo. Dengan catatan waktu tercepat 1 menit 48,450 detik, ia pun berhak atas grid terdepan.
Pole position di Catalunya merupakan keempat kali sepanjang karier Rodrigo di kelas Moto3. Ia sendiri kali terakhir start pertama saat kualifikasi di Motegi musim 2018.
Ogura, baru saja pulih dari cedera, tampil mengejutkan untuk kemudian merebut posisi kedua. Ia mengungguli Tony Arbolino serta dua nama besar: Tatsuki Suzuki dan Aron Canet.
Grid keenam diisi Albert Arena, di depan duo kompatriot: Alonso Lopez-Jaume Masia. Kemudian start ketujuh diklaim Lorenzo Dalla Porta, walau sempat terlibat insiden dengan Niccolo Antonelli.
Selanjutkan mengisi posisi ke-10 adalah pembalap Petronas Sprinta Racing, John McPhee. Sayangnya, hasil buruk dipetik rekan setim Ayumu Sasaki. Ia hanya mampu menempati grid ke-23.
