Tes WorldSBK Portimao: Rea terkencang, Lowes kedua
Pembalap Kawasaki, Jonathan Rea, memimpin hari pertama tes pramusim World Superbike di Portimao, Portugal. Posisi kedua ditempati Alex Lowes.
Usai melalui dua hari pengujian di Circuito de Jerez, Spanyol, paddock WorldSBK menyambangi Sirkuit International Algarve. Rea tak terbendung untuk menguasai urutan teratas pada Minggu (27/1). Catatan waktu tercepatnya 1 menit 42,195 detik.
Lowes muncul sebagai rival terdekat. Namun, pembalap Yamaha itu akhirnya harus puas slot kedua atau selisih 0,419 detik. Tiga besar dilengkapi Alvaro Bautista, mengungguli Toprak Razgatlioglu dan Tom Sykes.
Rekan setim baru Rea, Leon Haslam, mengamankan posisi keenam. Ia membukukan 1 menit 42,820 detik – dilanjutkan Michael van der Mark serta pembalap anyar GRT Yamaha WorldSBK, Marco Melandri.
Markus Reiterberger berhasil di depan Chaz Davies (Ducati), sedangkan juara World Supersport 2018 dan rookie WorldSBK, Sandro Cortese, pada urutan ke-11.
