Update Klasemen MotoGP 2021 Usai GP Qatar: Awal Baik Vinales
Raihan kemenangan Maverick Vinales di MotoGP Qatar menjadi modal berharga bagi Yamaha untuk mengarungi kejuaraan sepanjang 2021.

Top Gun membawa pulang 25 poin usai menaklukkan kuartet Ducati: Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, dan rookie Jorge Martin dalam putaran pembuka di Sirkuit Internasional Losail, Minggu (28/3/2021).
Berstatus sebagai pemuncak klasemen sementara tentunya mendongkrak kepercayaan diri Vinales setelah kesulitan yang dialami pabrikan garpu tala pada 2020, sekaligus membuka peluang menuju mahkota juara.
Peringkat kedua ditempati Zarco yang mengoleksi 20 poin. Pembalap baru Pramac Racing itu unggul empat poin atas rider Ducati, Bagnaia, yang mengumpulkan 16 poin dan menduduki peringkat ketiga.
Juara dunia bertahan, Joan Mir, mengisi peringkat keempat serta menorehkan 13 poin. Sedangkan pembalap anyar pabrikan Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo, menghuni peringkat kelima (11 poin).
Peringkat keenam ditempati Alex Rins (10 poin), diikuti Aleix Espargaro (9 poin), dan Pol Espargaro yang mendulang 8 poin untuk skuad Repsol Honda. Kemudian, di peringkat kesembilan ada Jack Miller (7 poin).
Rookie Esponsorama Avintia Racing, Enea Bastianini, tampil impresif dalam balapan perdana MotoGP 2021. Dia berhasil meraup 6 poin, juga memastikan peringkat ke-10, mengungguli Stefan Bradl serta Valentino Rossi.
Sirkuit Internasional Losail masih akan menjadi tuan rumah MotoGP, yakni untuk gelaran seri kedua GP Doha pada 2-4 April akhir pekan depan.
