FP3 Moto2 Qatar: Martin teratas, Dimas posisi sama
Rookie Jorge Martin tampil mengejutkan pada Free Practice 3 Moto2 Qatar, Sabtu (9/3). Dimas Ekky belum beranjak dari urutan ke-31.

Mendominasi sesi latihan bebas ketiga, Marcel Schrotter dipaksa menyerahkan posisi puncak kepada pembalap anyar Red Bull KTM Ajo dan juara dunia Moto3 2018, Martin.
Spaniard mencetak catatan waktu tercepat 1 menit 59,596 detik atau unggul 0,043 detik atas Schrotter. Sementara tiga besar dilengkapi Alex Marquez, di depan rekan setim barunya, Xavi Vierge.
Sam Lowes mengamankan tempat kelima, diikuti Lorenzo Baldassarri dan mantan pembalap MotoGP yang kini memperkuat Dynavolt Intact GP, Thomas Luthi.
Brad Binder, sempat terjatuh di Tikungan 16 pada akhir FP3, menempati posisi kedelapan. Ia mengungguli Augusto Fernandez dan adik tiri Valentino Rossi, Luca Marini.
Belum ada perubahan berarti dari Dimas, walau pembalap berjuluk Red Forehead itu menorehkan catatan waktu lebih baik ketimbang saat FP1. Ia menutup FP3 dengan selisih hampir tiga detik.
Dan berdasarkan hasil kombinasi tiga sesi latihan, 14 besar yang lolos otomatis ke Q2, antara lain Lorenzo Baldassarri, Schrotter, Remy Gardner, Lowes, Marquez, Jorge Navarro, Andrea Locatelli, Binder, Vierge, Enea Bastianini, Augusto Fernandez, Bo Bendsneyder, Thomas Luthi serta Martin.
